C9 petroleum resin is a kind of thermal plasticizing resin produced by products of petroleum cracking, through pretreatment, polymerization and distillation. It isn't a high polymer but a low polymer. Featured by acid value, easy mutual solubilities, water resistance, resistant to ethanol and chemicals. It has the chemical stabilizing property to acid and alkali, viscosity adjusting and thermal stabiliz-ing. C9 resin is not used independently, Generally it is used with other kinds of resins as promoter, adjusting agent and modifier.

C9 petroleum resin with high softening point can be added in paint to promote the final performance, strengthen the adhesive force and improve the resistance to acid and alkali. It also can be used in printing ink to increase the color spreading, fast dry and brightening effect.

C9 petroleum resin should be stored in dry and cool area, its storage life is one year, but it can still be used if the condition of storage meet the requirement very well after one year.
